We strive to make every day count and recognize that regular attendance is a critical key to success in a child’s school career. At Sky Ranch we work with students, families, teachers, administrators and staff to support good attendance habits.

Exempt absences are absences which are exempt from state and federal reporting requirements around chronic absenteeism. These MUST be:
· Verified by documentation from a medical, mental, or behavior health professional.
· Documentation MUST be provided within 3 days of absence.
Every student has up to 5 religious observances per year.
The Washoe County School District is proud to announce the addition of an online absence request form that can be accessed via either the Parent Portal in Infinite Campus or in the Infinite Campus App. This new tool allows parents and guardians to report an absence for medical, domestic, or religious reasons online.
